Moriah Grace

I went to the doctor Friday May 15th and she highly recommended that I go right over to the hospital to be induced because my baby wasn't moving very much and low levels of movement can mean the baby is feeling some distress. So Zach and I hurried home, finished packing our bags, and dropped off a few things for Zion to Christa. We arrived at the hospital between 12:30 and 1:00 and I was hooked up up to IVs within the next hour or so. They broke my water and then Zach and I spent an hour roaming the halls, dragging IV poles and stopping every few minutes so I could breath through contractions. My nurse recommended an epidural between 6-6:30 because she felt like I would be ready to deliver sooner if I could relax more. By 7:00 I was ready to push (amazing to me since I was in the hospital for two days to deliver Zion). Everything was going well from my perspective until I heard my doctor or one of the nurses call for everyone available. This is a rather vague memory as Zach and several nurses were still telling me to push. With in a short time our baby was born and they started working on her. A little while later the doctor explained to me that while her head came out fine her shoulders were very stuck and they were afraid that they were not going to be able to get her out without an emergency c-section Dr. Chung told me that my delivery was one that gives doctors nightmares . She re-explained everything to me the next day when I was better able to understand, making me very thankful that I didn't comprehend what was happening at that moment. Anyway enough of the the details. Zach and I are so thankful to our great GOD for the safe arrival of our little (big) girl. MORIAH GRACE Weight 8lbs 13 ounces Length 21 inches.
